Owing to continued growth, a leading developer of optoelectronics and lasers is now seeking a new Electronics Engineer to join their Product Development Team in Southampton.
Primarily based in an optics/optoelectronic laboratory environment you will be developing and delivering optical systems for standard products and bespoke applications.
The scope of the role covers the whole design life-cycle of control electronics and firmware for optoelectronic devices ranging from smart modules to full laser systems.
In addition to the development duties, you will be involved in product delivery activities to meet customer orders.
You will also be required to develop and document production procedures.

As the successful Electronics Engineer you should have industrial design experience of PCB, electronics, firmware, and software applications.
You should be proficient in electronics design in analogue, digital, and microprocessor technologies and C and/or C++
You should also have experience of low noise analogue electronics design, along with experience developing embedded systems and writing firmware for microcontrollers (e.g. PICs, AVR, STM32).
Ideally you will have previous experience in the fields of lasers, optics, and optoelectronics.
Ideally you will hold a relevant Degree or equivalent knowledge gained through working in a similar industry.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK, without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested for verification.
