Field Service Engineer – Instrumentation – LM1171

Job Outline: 

A leading supplier of scientific and electronic equipment is now looking for a multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to support customers across the south of the UK.

Working with a range of customers from Universities and Research Institutes to Industrial, Electronics and Bio-Tech companies, you will provide technical support as well as service, maintenance and repair services.

On a daily basis you will liaise with customers in person and via phone or email to answer technical questions and arrange service visits as required.

You will be visiting customer sites to provide installation services, as well as supplying preventative and break-down maintenance.

You will also arrange service visits as required and provide relevant quotations for out of warrantee work.

You will also update my clients CRM system with service information and undertake PDI activities prior to customer shipment.

Candidates with experience of Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Microscopy or Interferometry equipment will have a strong advantage, but full product training will be given.

This role will involve regular travel with some overnight stays.

Experience: 

Ideally you will have worked in a similar Service Engineering role, for at least 3 years.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you should hold a technical Degree or similar, and have worked in a similar service engineering role. 

Additional Information: 

Candidates MUST have a Full UK driving licence.

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
