Job Outline:
A leading developer of scientific instrumentation is looking to grow their engineering team, with the addition of an Electronics and Software Development Engineer.
Based at their fantastic new facility in Oxfordshire, you will work closely with the Engineering team, taking responsibility for the full software life cycle, including development, test and implementation of software.
You will be developing the front-end control systems and control architecture for the scientific instruments, along with the firmware for the PCBs.
As the successful candidate you will be required to design, build, test and debug complex electronics and software systems.
Key to succeeding in this role, is a “can do” attitude, couple with strong attention to detail, and an understanding of customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Ideally you will hold a Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Software, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
Substantial, industry experience will also be considered.
Experience:
Graduates, with a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in electronics, software or instrumentation manufacture.
As the successful Electronics and Software Development Engineer, you should have commercial experience working with product related software.
You should have hands on experience with design, build, test and debug of scientific instrumentation or similar low-volume high-value customized builds.
Ideally you will have worked through the full life cycle and be familiar with microchip development.
